We know SnowMirror goes against the cloud computing paradigm but that is life in all its fullness. It turns out 7 out of 10 of our local customers (ServiceNow consulting customers) need such a tool. They are used to their reporting and BI tools and they do not want to exchange them for the ServiceNow built in reports. Or there are data analysts blending the data from several data sources. Or there are ETL guys trying to load their data warehouses struggling with the original ODBC driver. Or I can continue with other examples.
So there is a real-world demand to have such a tool and SnowMirror is just fulfilling this customer demand. It does one thing but does it well.
